It’s Friday and the Boy is still crazy!

Good morning and happy Friday!

Friday! Oh, how I love you!
Friday! Oh, how I love you!

Yesterday was a funky day! I had plans to meet my handyman at Costco 10:00 to return an item I ordered online that ended up being defective. Yes, it was two person job! 😉 Because of that, I started my day working from home. My original plan was to go to the office after Costco, well…that didn’t happen. I was waiting on a couple copy/print orders, and it just made more sense to work from the house. It’s always nice when I get to do this because then there are no distractions.

Unfortunately for the Boy, I must have been cooped up in the house for too long because by time he got home I was annoyingly hyper. I was talking up a storm and bouncing from one random topic to the next. If that wasn’t bad enough for him, I had to go to South Tampa to drop off those copy/print items. So…yeah, he totally enjoyed that car ride. 😉

I figured since we were going to the area, we could go to Datz for dinner. It’s always busy, but I figured how bad could it be on a Thursday night. I am obviously not cool enough (or patient enough) for Datz because when this girl is hungry there is NO time for an hour-long wait. We will just have to try again another time. Instead, we decided to introduce the Boy to Red Elephant Cafe. Yes, I was just there the day prior! But, it doesn’t count since this was his first time…right?

I ordered a Tribeca White pizza with a side greek salad. The Boy enjoyed a pepperoni pizza. We then shared an elephant ear for dessert.

Actually! It was the Goldilocks of elephant ears! The “ear” that was brought out was way way way overcooked- it was so hard and crispy I couldn’t even cut into it. I’m not the type of person to ever send food back, but this was just really sad. And, they’re really nice there, so I felt comfortable enough to voice my concern. They quickly made us a new one that come out almost a bit undercooked. It was much much better and the whole thing just kind of reminded me of Goldilocks and her predicament.

Greek salad! This is the first Greek salad I've had with no feta cheese, AND I cracked open the pepperoncini and then didn't need dressing at all. I was quite proud of myself.

This was the bad ear. The good one wasn't around long enough to get a pic.

All this talk about the Boy reminds me of a few funny moments…

The Boy can be so crazy sometimes!

We were watching Big Bang Theory and there’s a scene with the guys playing with some sort of lazer shooter, this prompts my Boy to exclaim, “Ooh! Lasers! I need lasers! No… I need swords more! I realized the other day I don’t have nearly enough swords on display!” (For those of you curious, we have NO swords on display in the house).

The other day he came home from work (hungry, mind you) and immediately started making homemade play-doh before even thinking about making/eating dinner. Yes, he is a 7 year-old trapped in the body of a 30-something!

Oh, and I’m convinced he went through the box of cereal I opened just to find the included toy.

Evidence! ;)
Evidence! 😉

Oh, he’s a crazy one…but, I love him! 🙂

Here’s a few random tidbits about me…

I think foam rolling is one of the most awkward things a person can do. Yes, I do it. I don’t like to do it, but I do.

I’m a very curious person, and think of myself as a one-man neighborhood watch.

I’m in love with these and would eat the entire bag in one sitting if I didn’t think I’d be caught.

Dark Chocolate almonds. These aren't the coated kind that taste like candy; this is just a nice thin layer of cocoa powder.

And, I’m pretty sure the weirdest thing I’ve ever had to do was leave the restaurant I was having dinner at to go outside to take a picture of my car’s VIN number to text to my dad. Yeah, that happened!

Questions of the day

What’s your favorite kind of pizza?

Do you ever get to work from home?

Tell me about your significant other

  1. I love white pizza with extra cheese!! I was actually working from home yesterday because I’m battling a cold 😦 It’s nice to have that option when you need it!

My fiance is Thomas, we’re getting married in September! He’s pretty great.

I love the chocolate almonds and they really are not bad for you but taste like a treat! Costco usually has a big tub of them.. and I usually eat them all in a week or so…
