Happy Happy Saturday!
Saturday is finally here, which means… cruise time is right around the corner!!!
But first, there is lots to do!
Yesterday was a GREAT day! I got a ton of work done, even though I had to leave the office at 3:00 for a marketing event we were sponsoring.
Nothing too terribly exciting to share on the food-front. I had a KIND bar for breakfast, Wendy’s for lunch (nope, and not a salad), I shared a BBQ pork plate at the event, and when I got home at 10:00 and was starving the Boy made me french toast. I know it was not a good choice at all, but oh gosh was it good!
I won a super cute beach tote/blanket set, and was so excited because I never win anything!
I woke up rather early today (8:30) and quickly got to work on my list of things to do. It’s a pretty intense list, so I have to keep this post short.
But before I go… I made juice today! This was a very strange recipe- mostly because I needed to use up a bunch of random ingredients because they were starting to go bad. Surprisingly enough it worked!
(Fruit & Veggie) Collection Juice
What you’ll need
- 2 handfuls baby carrots
- 1 large bunch kale
- 1 large cucumber
- 2 apples
- 3 oranges
- 2 sweet potatoes
- 1 red pepper
- 1 yellow pepper
- 1 lemon
- Juice all ingredients
- Pour through sifter to remove clumps
- And, enjoy!
I think peppers are becoming my favorite ingredient to add to juice. I honestly think if I hadn’t added the peppers (at least the yellow one) today’s recipe would have been a disaster.
Today’s juicing was not a very fun process because the discard filled up quickly and then it caused the system to overflow and made a lovely mess for me to clean up. But!! It has inspired me to focus my efforts back on smoothies. Which is always tasty and fun! I’ll be taking that up post-cruise. 😉
Have a great weekend!
