We are having a great time in Pennsylvania spending quality time with the Boy’s family.
Pittsburgh, we’ve arrived!
We’re here till Thursday, but I wanted to check in with a quick weekend ReCUP.
So, let’s get to it…
I had a beautiful 7 mile long run. It would have been perfect, had it not started raining. A cold rain!
We were lazy for a bit and then drove into Greensburg to go shopping and grab a bite to eat. We opted for Texas Roadhouse, and I went all out with a giant margarita.
And a half slab of ribs for dinner.
And then it was back home to stretch and foam roll.
Talk about perfect weather for a perfect run.
The first few miles of my 6-miler weren’t terribly pretty but I pushed through and stayed strong. More than I can say about this tree…
The sun started to show itself towards the end of my run. First time since we’ve been here!
A little later in the day we attended the wedding of one of the Boy’s friends from school. Jake and Jenna had a beautiful ceremony and a really fun reception.
After the festivities, we hit up the midnight buffet at one of the Boy’s old stomping grounds- Eat N Park- with a group of his buddies.
We got home around 3:00 and I almost immediately upon walking through the door crashed and then slept like a baby.
Rest and recovery day! Woohoo!
The Boy’s sister drove up from Pittsburgh with her boyfriend to spend the day with us. And!!! They brought with them a little snow! Can you tell I’m a happy girl?!
The Boy’s mom made us all a nice turkey dinner for supper.
The big dinner had us all being a bit sleepy after dinner, so we all curled up and are now enjoying the Golden Globes.
Oh, and just for fun…
I’m well on my way to 2,016 in 2016!
